The FREE Australia Party Candidate for the By-Election seat of RAMSAY.
I call South Australia my home state, born in Whyalla and spending my younger years in Port Adelaide even living in Parkside, during my younger years we moved around somewhat, this took my family briefly to Western Australia, crossing the Nullarbor Plains when there were 3 water tanks, Dolomite boulders and potholes for a road, we lived there for about 2 years before returning to Adelaide, back in Port Adelaide, a couple of years later we moved to Salisbury North and lived in the Housing Trust area, I attended the Salisbury North West Primary School, Now closed down in place, is a Super School so I have been told. I grew up exploring the neighbourhood on my bike going further and further out, checking out the new estate opening up close to Weapons Research Establishment, or as we knew it, the WRE from Heaslip Road to Parabanks.
From a young age, fishing was part of my life - I have spent many hours fishing around the metro waters with my family. I still like to fish and my favourite locations are Yorke Peninsula and Eyre Peninsula, whenever I can get away.
I attended Salisbury North High School, playing Basketball at the Salisbury Courts and riding around the area with mates kept me busy, 'til we made the big leap, one suburb over, to Salisbury Downs.
By this time I was 16, had a drivers license and obtained an Apprenticeship as an electrician at the former Clyde Engineering installing the Electrical system in Locomotives. At the end of my time I wanted to go out and learn different fields in my trade, including Industrial, Commercial and Domestic, repair, maintenance and installation and more experience was better in my eyes. For a short time I bought a house in Salisbury Downs and settled down but the travel bug got me and Sydney was in sight, so for a couple of years I picked up new trade skills as a Data Cabling Technician. But the Big smoke couldn’t hold me - I didn’t get NRL either!
Back to Adelaide was the go, with my new found skills. I started installing Computer cabling all over the city, I learnt a fair bit and managed a Data cabling firm for about 4 years.
During this time I met my partner Danielle, we both got the travel bug and headed north To Alice Springs for a few years, we came back to Adelaide again and settled in Salisbury Downs, until we bought a house in Salisbury Plain where we have been for more than 10 years both working, living, sharing times with friends and family.
For most of my life, the SA government seemed fine, but the last 10 years, it seemed that things were starting to slide, lifestyle was deteriorating, fines getting higher, cost of living skyrocketing, heaps of Speed cameras - it was getting out of hand, either I stand by and accept this or get involved, this meant getting politically involved.
This led me to FREE Australia Party, I believe that, we have the right answers for today’s government, not the same 2 primary party failed promises over and over again, it time for a new change for South Australia, it is time for a change for Ramsay, I live here and I am not moving.
